Are ironized yeast tablets healthy for you?
They are weight-graining pills from the 1930's that have a iron base

The premise of them was to 1) treat anemia and 2) provide a source of B - vitamins, which were a common deficiency during the 30's before food fortification started.

B vitamins are famous for making people (especially children) hungry - which is how they induce weight gain. A regular B-complex has the same effect on many people, that is actually a common complaint of people taking them.

Apparently you can still buy these! scream.gif

uhoh.gif God knows.
Amazing now 50 + years later with the introduction of GMO crops, increase in sugar consumption, gut health destroying anti-biotics and high fructose corn syrup how people no longer have a skinny problem.

Not to mention that today the "healthy" woman in those ads would be considered overweight and the crack head thin woman would be considered sexy.

Thanks for that, Octo. beercheer.gif

I suppose it's excellent for pre-menopausal women who need some extra iron. It's easy for men to actually get too much iron with all those supplements.

There's a lot to say for a healthy, natural, balanced diet.

Yeah ~ look at all those People of WalMart things. chuckle.gif

In just one lifetime we've gone from smart and healthy to dumber dirt and sick. It takes effort to skip all the prepared foods and roll your own ~ hell that's what I do with smokes, too! rofl.gif

Skinny used to mean unhealthy.

Now it is the other way round.

In older times fat was often consider a sign of status.

If someones too thin they get ranked on...

"look at skelator the tooth pick who couldnt fight his way out of a wet paper bag"

If someones too heavy they get ranked on...

"look at fat f##k the beached whale"

If someones too muscular they get ranked on...

"whats that person think they're tough or something because they got muscles and no brains"

Who cares what anyone thinks?

Especially caring about someone who wouldn't even think of helping you when you really need help...

Insecure people are just dying for some attention...

Be happy the way you are and f##k em if they don't like it...

"You cant please everyone so you've got to please yourself"
