Pit Bull Saves unknown Woman, Child from Attacker
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- The wandering 65-pound Pit Bull mix might have seemed menacing to some passerby, but one woman will always remember him as her "guardian angel."

The dog, which authorities think is lost and not a stray, successfully thwarted a robbery attack on a mother and her 2-year-old son, who were held at knifepoint Monday afternoon.

The Florida woman, who has been identified by authorities simply as "Angela," was leaving a playground with her toddler son in Port Charlotte when a man approached her in the parking lot with a knife and told her not to make any noise or sudden movements.

Angela didn't have to do either to protect herself and her child -- a dog mysteriously ran to the scene and charged the man, who quickly fled.

"I don't think the dog physically attacked the man, but he went at him and was showing signs of aggression, just baring his teeth and growling and barking. It was clear he was trying to defend this woman," Animal Control Lt. Brian Jones told Pet Pulse.

"I don't know what this man's intentions were, but it is very possible this dog saved her life."

The exceptional part of the story, Jones said, is that the dog had never met or even seen the people it quickly jumped to defend.

"You hear about family dogs protecting their owners, but this dog had nothing to do with this woman or her kid," Jones said. "He was like her guardian angel."

I had a dog dream last night chuckle.gif We had a bulldog and a couple of little puppies. I went to see what they were up to and found the bulldog and one of the puppies had swallowed helium balloons and were bouncing around really inflated rofl.gif And was just "oh look honey how cute" when their eyes were almost popping out 13.gifchuckle.gif

Hehheh, totally off-topic. delete if you see fit, but

I dreamt last night, that Djinghis Khan was involved in
a BIG FAT haschisch deal in Marocco.
A full company of Japanese samurais were his opponents.
Somehow, the Japs lost collective face
- and had to commit collective harakiri seppuku!

I just couldn't watch - yeachhhhh! - had to force myself
awake.
Weird dream, I had no active part in it myself...was just
a fly on the wall...

Sick...umh...puppy..?

damned.gif I was, in my teen years around a guy that claimed to be the reincarnation of Djinghis Khan. His sister backed it up a bit, said he had spoken about events related to the warriors life in the context of a previous life for him from the age of 2.
Put it this way, that info didn't come from children's books. Strange dream AS.

Hmmmyeah...

Can't say I like it much,
but although you'll have a hard time
finding a more peaceful character than me,
my dreams have been invaded by bloody, gory,
absolutely horrific violence lately...WTF is up with that..?

Anyone else?

Thank God thisone was not very lucid, wasn't too hard waking
myself up out of; knew all the time it was just a dream...other times, not so :(

I have had a tendency to have apocalyptic dreams since before I was even aware of such matters. I only had them from time to time and they were always different, but I had them none the less. I am never scared in the dreams though. In some of them I am involved and in other I am merely an observer. In all of them I am watching the people around me as if observing their reactions. In some of the dreams I make an attempt at getting the people to calm down as if it is vitally important. The strange thing is that I never see the apocalyptic parts. Always just the people.
