RE: UPDATE 17! Radioactivity 10,000 times the limit found in GROUNDWATER 15 yards down!

Video released by the Japanese Defence Ministry on Friday shows soldiers working right in front of the radiation leaking Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant the previous day, Thursday 31st March. Japan Maritime Self Defence Force in Nuclear Chemical Biological (NBC) suits can be seen working on the pier of the plant taking delivery of containers of fresh water to be used to cool the damaged reactors. The water containers are delivered aboard flat bed vessels supplied by the US Navy which are pushed by a JMSDF tug boat.

RE: UPDATE 17! Radioactivity 10,000 times the limit found in GROUNDWATER 15 yards down!
A conditioning of my youth, was included the knowledge, that I shall clean up after myself.

any mess i created was my responsibility to insure that the mess was fixed or cleaned
by me.

Viewed as almost a sin to pass it on to others.

Retaining that conditioning, i state the following:

1. Each and every single person that designed , approved and then profited from the building of this reactor,,
SHOULD BE ON SITE AND INVOLVED IN THE CLEAN UP, INCLUSIVE, ALL POLITICIANS ,
ALL SHARE HOLDERS
ALL CEO'S
ALL INCLUSIVE.

It to me is another SHAME, criminal offense,,, for those people to leave this mess to Soldiers
to clean up,,,

if left to me, my decision would be to arrest them all, wrap them in straight jackets and chain them to the reactors.

Nothing so sickening, then the profiteers relaxing in their purchased comfort
while a poor group of people, who had nothing to do with building this hazard
get sick and die.

Old Testament the Bastards.

We are all expected to bear certain responsibilities by virtue of a government by the people, for the people; however that government sadly no longer exists anywhere. Not on this dirt ball, no Sir.

The Mideast holdouts are being rounded up taken out of power as the IMF takes control of things.lemur.png All that drunk power and money makes me want to pop a chubby. vic.gif

All we get are bank puppets crying freedom , liberty, democracy , give up your freedom , liberty, democracy.

Corporations, politicians, bankers... do not abide by the same set of rules the rest of us are expected to adhere to. There is a worldwide dual class in the making, nope, it's here.

Global supply lines at risk as shipping lines shun Japan

A senior nuclear executive said on Friday evening that the United States Navy had moved nuclear-powered vessels like the Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier far from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant after officers became concerned that radiation from the plant could enter the ships' air ducts.

The worry is not that the radiation would pose a threat to the vessels' crews, but that even trace contamination of the ducts could create problems in the extremely sensitive equipment aboard nuclear-powered vessels that is intended to detect any hint of a radioactive leak from on-board systems, said the executive, who insisted on anonymity to protect business connections.

Water with high levels of radiation has been confirmed to have seeped into the sea from the No. 2 reactor at the troubled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, government officials said Saturday, raising wider fears of environmental contamination by the release of radioactivity.

The water has been leaking into the sea from a 20-centimeter crack detected at a pit in the reactor where power cables are stored, the government's nuclear safety agency said, adding that Tokyo Electric Power Co., known as TEPCO, is ready to encase the fracture in concrete.

The first detection of tainted water flowing out into the Pacific Ocean could force the government and the operator to limit further expansion of radioactive contamination, likely hampering efforts to restore the crippled cooling functions at the complex.

The government ''wants (the utility) to start the operation of covering the crack in concrete as soon as possible,'' said Hidehiko Nishiyama, a spokesman for the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency.

''We will also check whether there are cracks at other reactors as soon as possible,'' he added.

Tiger Tiger. burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye.
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies.
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand, dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat.
What dread hand? & what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain,
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp.
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?

When the stars threw down their spears
And watered heaven with their tears:
Did he smile His work to see?
Did he who made the lamb make thee?

Tiger Tiger burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

Serious bad situation, scares me to death. I have always had a respect for isotopes, stay away from it as much as possible. In my business hot sources are used and I have refused to be close to it whether encased or not. From my understanding a long lower exposure for longer periods of time is far more dangerous than 1-short term high dose. I dunno, have been in the oilfield service business a long time and some of these guys get that very unhealthy look and know several who have been diagnosed with various carcinomas. In this case ignorance may be bliss as I stay as far away as I can from any hot source...

Taco, it scares the hell out of most people. It's like electricity, you cant see it but it can kill you. We've stocked up on kelp just in case.
This certainly isn't the end case scenario everyone had mentally prepared for, hell they've hardly even made disaster movies this bad.

wtf2.gif Rog' I thought that yellow cloud was a metaphor.. How ƒükkêd ! They are still acting as if this radioactivity is negligible. Truthfully, I don't think we're getting half the real info we should be getting.
I'd recommend at least getting some brown kelp, it has 100% of daily iodine in a natural form, it cant hurt you. It's better to keep the thyroid in peak condition than blast it with a potential shitload of iodine, which could be as damaging as radiation.
Maybe you and beepers may want to consider a vacation somewhere south or south east?

Tepco fails to block Fukushima crack

TEPCO failed to block a crack leaking radioactive water into the ocean, and said it had discovered the bodies of its two missing employees at the stricken plant. damned.gif
They discovered the crack in a shaft storing supply cables close to reactor No 2.
Next tepco plans to attempt to use a polymer to stop the flow after Saturday’s attempts with concrete failed.

Read it ay ft.com

This is quite disturbing, looking for a crack and finding dead employees.

Hmmm...on the latest pics from Fukushima, there doesn't
seem to be much activity in the vicinity.

Shouldn't they be bringing in materials and tools, if they've
got some or other plan?

I mean, radioactivity or not, shouldn't they be pulling some
resources together...like an army does behind the front?

Sure, I'm no expert, but...
What is it I'm not getting?

Fukashima a snapshot update ZERO HEDGE

Quote:# okyo Electric Power (TEPCO) began to release more than 10,000 tonnes of contaminated water from its crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant into the sea to free up storage space for water with much higher levels of radioactivity.

# Engineers also plan to build a giant silt curtain in the ocean to stop the spread of more contamination from the plant.

# Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano says that if the current situation continues for a long time, with accumulation of more radioactive substances, there will be "a huge impact on the ocean."

# Edano also says there was no other choice but to release the water, which was about 100 times more radioactive than legal limits.

# Japan warns it could take months to stop radiation leaking from the nuclear plant.

# Engineers mixed sawdust and newspapers with polymers and cement to try to seal a crack in a concrete pit at the complex's reactor no.2, where radioactive water has been seeping into the sea.

# The majority of voters polled by a newspaper say a coalition government would better handle the crisis and post-quake recovery effort.

# A central bank survey, underlining the concern over the impact of the crisis, shows that big manufacturers expect business conditions to worsen significantly in the next three months, though they were not quite as pessimistic as some analysts had expected.

# Engineers examine alternatives to pumping in water to cool the reactor, including an improvised air conditioning system, spraying fuel rods with vaporised water or using the plant's cleaning system.

# TEPCO has said it will scrap at least four reactors once they are under control, but this could take years or even decades.

# Japanese manufacturing activity slumped to a two-year low in March and posted the sharpest monthly fall on record as the quake and tsunami hit supply chains and output.

# A total of 12,087 people were confirmed dead by Japan's National Police Agency, while 15,552 are missing. A total of 167,700 households were without electricity and at least 200,000 without running water.

# Estimated cost of damage to top $300 billion, making it the world's costliest natural disaster. The 1995 Kobe quake cost $100 billion while Hurricane Katrina in 2005 caused $81 billion in damage.

TEPCO to drop plan to add 2 reactors at Fukushima nuclear plant
TOKYO, April 4, Kyodo

The vice president of Tokyo Electric Power Co. said Monday that the company will withdraw its plan to build two more reactors at the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, following its submission of the plan to the government in late March.

''We now think it is impossible to add reactors,'' Takashi Fujimoto told a television program in reference to the plan to add two more reactors to the six-reactor plant.

Sounds like the world gov.s are simply throwing their hands in the air saying it isn't their problem and there isn't a problem. They haven't a ğkkin clue what to do about it. Oh sure they know it's catastrophic but they already have their bunkers and uncontaminated supplies.

This is really out of control. In this video the TEPCO rep is friggin' crying.

7.5 mil. times legal limit of iodine in sea

The operator of the stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant says 7.5 million times the legal limit of radioactive iodine 131 has been detected from samples of seawater near the plant.

Tokyo Electric Power Company, or TEPCO, found on Saturday that contaminated water was leaking from a cracked concrete pit near the No. 2 reactor.

Experts say this makes it clear that highly radioactive substances from the reactor are flowing into the sea, and that the leak must be stopped as soon as possible.

The utility firm said samples of water taken near the water intake of the No. 2 reactor at 11:50 AM Saturday contained 300,000 becquerels of iodine 131 per cubic centimeter, or 7.5 million times the legal limit.
TEPCO said the figure had dropped to 200,000 becquerels per cubic centimeter, or 5 million times the legal limit, in samples taken at 9:00 AM Monday.

Monday's sample also contained 1.1 million times the legal limit of cesium 137, which has a half life of 30 years.

Radiation levels are so high that monitoring devices have been rendered useless.

A radiation monitor at the troubled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant says workers there are exposed to immeasurable levels of radiation.

The monitor told NHK that no one can enter the plant's No. 1 through 3 reactor buildings because radiation levels are so high that monitoring devices have been rendered useless. He said even levels outside the buildings exceed 100 millisieverts in some places.
