Until next month, when the even more radioactive water has to be dumped into the ocean. Yet this is fine, no condemnation from anyone"!gaah.gif

50 Tonnes of water a day is sprayed on the reactors! just to keep them cool.

My heart goes out to those poor people P.

In other related news, I just read Radiation-shielding sheets to be installed in Sept. at earliest.
Thats just enough time to irrevocably damage the entire planet for a few hundred thousand years. gaah.gif

Quote:A plan to cover damaged reactor buildings at the crisis-hit Fukushima nuclear plant with special sheets to halt radiation leakage cannot offer a quick remedy, as the sheeting will be installed in September at the earliest due to high-level radioactivity hampering work at the site, government sources said Tuesday.

The government had asked Tokyo Electric Power Co., operator of the Fukushima Daiichi power station crippled by the March 11 quake and tsunami, to study the installment of radiation-shielding sheets, and a major construction firm commissioned to examine the idea said the construction will not start until June, the sources told Kyodo News.

They said workers need to wait until radiation levels drop at the site, where hydrogen explosions have blown away the roofs and upper walls of three reactor buildings
.

If they have to wait until radiation levels drop, then were all screwed here. Sacrifices have to be made for the greater good of all of us.

Ibaraki fishermen suspend fishing activities

Most local fishery cooperatives in Ibaraki Prefecture are suspending all fishing activities, after small fish caught in waters off its coast were found to contain radioactive cesium above the legal limit.

Ibaraki is located just south of Fukushima, which hosts the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.

Now look at this:

Quote:U.S. grain firm Gavilon Grain said on Thursday it will buy Union Elevator and Warehouse's 16 grain elevators in the Pacific Northwest, the company's second big purchase of U.S. grain facilities in the last six months.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/03/2...2020110324

May seem off topic, but it isn't. Food is going to become rather scarce from now on I'm thinking and George Soros is the money behind Gavilon. Disaster capitalism in full swing.

Japanese Plug Nuclear Plant Leak, Now Face Hydrogen Build-up

Troubles continue at Japan's crippled nuclear plant, where technicians believe they have solved one big problem but are confronting another.

Officials said Wednesday they have finally stopped a leak of radioactive water from the Fukushima power station that was raising radiation in the nearby ocean to millions of times the legal limit.

But now they are worried about a build-up of hydrogen inside the containment vessel at another of the plant's six reactors, creating the risk of an explosion that could release large amounts of radiation into the atmosphere. Plant officials said they may pump nitrogen into the reactor in an attempt to halt the chemical reaction.

I just wonder if that grain is earmarked for the elite only. hmm.gif I have a very bad feeling about food and water in the upcoming weeks and months. I'm certain they will just keep raising the limit so regardless of how high levels get it will still be deemed "safe".
It's safe to become ill, get cancer, and die as long as you are not an elite.

I hope like hell it's true they plugged that leak but I'm not holding my breath. I expect them to lie like cheap rugs.

Me too, a very bad feeling. Canada announced they won't even test for radiation yet a blog said iodine has been found in drinking water in Wash, Idaho and BC.

They've sealed the leak from spreading to the outside from that particular place. The plant is still leaking highly radioactive water internally, where it will either collect or leak elsewhere.

Ah. Now radiation is safe for the oceans too.

Experts: Ocean life can handle radioactive leaks

Quote:He agreed that animals near the plant may be affected. It's not clear in what way, because the level of radiation isn't well known, he said. In any case, fish would probably escape such an effect because unlike immobile species such as oysters, they move around and so would not get a continuous exposure, he said.

Spent Fuel Rods DID Explode Into Atmosphere

a confidential document released by The New York Times has confirmed multiple aspects of this disaster that we reported from the beginning.

“Perhaps the worse news is confirmation that radioactive fragments and particles, including the deadly Plutonium “MOX” fuel, has been shot high into the atmosphere during the hydrogen explosions,” wrote Alexander Higgins, a blogger and frequent Intel Hub Contributor.

A quick rundown of the problems that are now admitted confirms what some in the alternative media have reported from the beginning.

Nitrogen injection ups pressure in reactor

The operator of the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant says pressure inside the containment vessel of the Number 1 reactor is rising following an injection of nitrogen gas.
