It's time for the annual 10 dishes you should never make on Thanksgiving as reported by thisisinser.com

1. Canned cranberry sauce - Officially horrible.

2. Green bean casserole wtf2.gif I love that!

3. Pecan pie 13.gif As good as it gets.

4. Ambrosia salad puke.gif That should be outlawed.

5. Jell-O salad - Kill it with fire

The rest at the link. The thing that didn't make it is those sweet potatoes with marshmallows casserole, like Ambrosia salad there should be punishment for making it.
What are you guys having for Thanksgiving?

This gets 5 stars, but I wouldn't eat it if my life depended on it.

Ewww... those sweet potato marshmallow casseroles are hideous, but I'm with you Gumby... I don't care for rice pudding, and I LOVE pecan pie.
We're having turkey, gravy, oyster dressing, salad and rutabaga mash with lingon beries all over.

.. to decide what goes or not goes for one's personal holiday dinner or family dinner like that.. was a mistake to begin with
/for example: not all make cornbread or stuffing & i do like dinner rolls with holiday meals as a choice
even tho i agree on almost all said there

Bread is good for wiping up the gooey goodness left on the plate

When JR and I got together I of course started looking into American cooking and I have to say I was shocked at the huge amount of sugar that is often included in many recipes... damned.gif

That's Lutefisk, it has become JR's favorite. Octo has to make up Finnish holidays in order to serve it to him about six times a month.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

We have Thanks Giving in the US just to give thanks that we don't have Lutefisk.
