15 year old girl strip searched at Canadian school; Education minister defends practice, says it is OK if done "respectfully"; girl feels "violated and destroyed".

Quebec Education Minister Yves Bolduc said it’s OK to strip search students suspected of concealing drugs as long as it’s done respectfully and by the book.

“It is permitted to do strip searches, on one condition: it must be very respectful, ” he said at the National Assembly on Tuesday.

I heard that on the radio this morning, and I was surprised to learn that the teenage girl asked the two women if she could contact her mother, which that request was denied. The girl's mother is taking this very seriously and I am sure will investigate this further; with a lawyer, I would hope.

They were looking for marijuana, that the girl said she had in her possession via a text to a friend AS A JOKE! They did not find any marijuana, anywhere.

Gosh, that is just so creepy. Pot REALLY? That should be way down the list of anyone's concern. I can't fathom why an innocuous plant freaks people and law enforcement the way it does.
People need education. With education ISIS could not exist. The lack thereof is detrimental to all of us.

"Narcotics have been systematically scapegoated and demonized"

"But i'm an old man and i may not live to see a "final solution" of the drug problem"
