Interesting news, whaler.

Haha, yeah, 3 on 3 always reminds me of our street hockey days :)

Mill Hill, southwest part of town, we were always at least 6 kids
around. When we got a bit older and tireder of the "car!"-breaks,
we built a 20 m rink in one of the bigger apartment yards - with
the landlords permission, even! chuckle.gif

Then we organized a series with 2-men teams :)
Ended at the hospital for yours truly, with a busted brow gushing
blood all over the taxi chuckle.gif Still had my skates on, when they
patched me up in the emergency room.

The 70's were soo good around here! yay.gif
There was always that big big dream:
That Finland one day would beat the CCCP in the World Champs,
the Olympics or the Izvestija Tournament!

hmm.gif Canada has always done quite well at the IIHF, 24 gold to the USA's 2. Russia has 27 I think. Last year Finland took the gold medal, sure like to see them stay in it but today it's do or die.

We are talking junior hockey right? I don't watch it usually.

Yes it's under 20 guys. They can be interesting tournaments, it's not looking good this year so I've not been watching religiously.

Yes, world juniors, you won't see any NHL players there. But the ones that do well usually go on to the pros. It isn't like provincial hockey or bantams or peewee, it's big league just not pro.

Sad (but true) story
