The bloop?

"Scientists determined that its wave pattern indicates it was made by an animal. The reason this is so difficult to place is because there is no animal big enough or loud enough to make that kind of noise, not by a long shot."

I found this tidbit of interesting news just yesterday:

Mysterious find may rewrite Finnish history

A fragment of a unique and mysterious silver plaque discovered in South Karelia may force historians to rethink some of Finland's early Iron Age history. As of yet, the cultural context of the find has not been explained.

A few of those like the Baghdad battery might not be that incomprehensible if we accept civilization is older than History books say... I often wonder if one of the reasons for the Iraq war was to purposely destroy a lot of stuff, considering one of the first things they did was loot the museum.
