An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.0 struck northwest of Japan's Ryukyu Islands on Friday, but there was no immediate tsunami danger to the U.S. West Coast, British Columbia and Alaska, the National Tsunami Warning Center said.

The quake was about 90 miles off the western shores of Makurazaki, Japan, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

"Based on earthquake information and historic tsunami records, the earthquake was not sufficient to generate a tsunami," the warning center said Friday.

I can see more coming 7.0 per day around the world. Three everyday in my opinion is a flatline estimate. Same as meteorites and other indicators that mysteriously seem to be happening in frequency lately. The states are having a wonderful time with the precursors at the moment. beercheer.gif

In 2012 which is the most current graph I can find,, there were only 12 7.0 earthquakes worldwide. A few in the ring of fire I would suspect. Play again.

There's really not much on the ryukyu islands. Just saying.
However, you do know it's been insinuated that the EQ of 2011 was caused by China using HAARP.
Mmmmm
