Ruskis won but they had there A$$E$ handed to them they never seen this kind of elite solder ski hit and run fighting tactics before. They quickly adopted there methods of Winter combat to use against the Germans.

Stallion was more evil than Hitler in my opinion. He allowed and promoted his solders to rape & pillage the after spoils of war. His not one step back policy made ruski shoot ruski if the retreated.

This is something even Hitler didn't advocate.

No? How do you know that? To my understanding it was either obeying orders or a bullet. I think the rules of mayhem are pretty clear and consistent.

I know because its in the archives as stated by stallion.
The Russians enslaved German women after the NAZI collapse they put them in slave camps . Several thousand German women were enslaved to die in horrible conditions at Russian post WW2 camps.
And the USA let this happen stationed outside Berlin. As we let Russian troops calibrate rape & pillage what was left of the German people.

My friend's dad was a guard at a Russian POW camp in Finland. What they did to them is horrible. I don't think the US soldiers were any more righteous than the next soldier.

Fact is, that in the Wehrmacht, there were no clean-up troops in battle
á la the Russki NKVD guys who shot - on the spot - any and all Red Army
soldiers who tried to turn and run...or even showed too much hesitation
in attacking. Or went for cover too early.

The Red Army private soldier lived practically without any sort of legal
protection. This gets clearer to me all the time, the more I read and learn
of Red Army history, as told by the soldiers themselves. People just
don't understand what sort of monster Stalin's Soviet Union really was!

The horrible truth is that there is simply no telling how many of the
much bragged about and lamented 30 - 40 000 000 Soviet war
casualties got killed by their own.

Germany at least followed field law and put deserters on some
sort of trial before murdering them. As a matter of fact, getting
sent to a penile unit was more common than receiving a death
sentence in the first couple of years of WWII, was it not?

Even towards the end, when things freaked out and executions
skyrocketed with the "flying" court-martial shït, the Germans
followed protocol, even if summarily.

Damned, I don't know which is creepier, really 13.gif

The Soviet build-up had been going on a long time.
Finland wiggled its way out of it, but the Baltic
states were invaded. As was half of Poland.

None of the empires taking part in WWII look 1 bit
more righteous than any of the others.

If anything, the UK, Bolshevism and the US were all
about world domination, weren't they. Pretty fekking
shamelessly so, too. The Bolsheviks even put it in their
official party program. The Americans are still all over
the place, to this day!

All while Germany at least never ever said anything about
conquering the entire globe. Hitler's main goals were always
limited to the East.

There was a win-win situation for Stalin in the Winter War.
The soldiers were his absolutely cheapest asset. He knew
that he could get rid of a whole lot of Ukrainians - whom
he never trusted - and still be able to force Finland to her
knees.

Worked like a charm.
Poor Ukrainian sods died by their 10 000's at the hands of
a few Finnish ski patrols. Because they had no proper winter
equipment. Sent there to die, it seems.

War is hell and war is evil and our massively concentrated efforts during thousands of years of ceaseless warfare while gathering and joining forces of vast amounts of time and money and physical labor and scientific knowledge spent towards creating evermore deadly war machines to crush and kill and destroy each other with may ultimately be the reason for our extinction for all those never ending efforts could and should have been spent towards designing and building adequate ways and means to divert inevitable asteroids and thwart possible alien invasions and so humanity will be really screwed big time some very sad and sickening and inconceivably horrible day...

Russia violates Finnish airspace...and keeps on doing it.

Quote:The minister said that the Air Force scrambled a Hornet jet to the scene of the suspected violation. He added that it now seems that the repeated airspace violations are deliberate.

We need a Russian Kritter or two on here,
so we'd know whether this sheit broke the
news barrier (what's the correct English idiom?)
at all over there back in August. 13.gif

Is the military Open Skies Treaty still valid?

I wouldn't hold it past POO pricks like Haglund
or Stubb to use scheduled Russian overflights
for good, cheap NATO/Anti-Russia-propaganda.
But wouldn't that piss the Russian gov off..?
Or is that the plan - to poke the Bear?

Gee, that sounds smart.
