Many people have pets to substitute relationships with partners, children or family members. Many elderly people for instance, like having a dog instead of being all alone at home. This is usually a lap dog, very affectionate and strokable.
The animal serves people's need to cherish, love and fight boredom. But this is really a distressing reason for keeping a pet. The animal is a replacement for normal human contact, something that apparently is too much to summon in our individualistic society. Their pet keeps them from pining. But of course, it has to be a type of dog that suits them and that has been bred especially for their needs.
Very Alien.

So that is a reason to hate the animals? Seems like displaced emotions. If what you want is for people to have better relationships, then maybe your focus could go there?

It's an assumption that many people have pets as a substitute for people. Maybe they do. Having a pet can help a person to have better relationships with people because the pet can assist the person to let go of stress by focusing love on their pet.

It's been shown that petting a dog or cat lowers blood pressure, for instance.

Did the pet do something wrong?

That scene had to be one of the most shocking ever portrayed on TV. Totally mind blowing and totally awesome.

It was awesome and if if I had issues I'd let those extras deal with it

Just guessing you had a parent who treated you poorly in favor of a pet. That's understandable if you harbor unresolved feelings if that is the case. Just keep in mind that the pet had nothing to do with what happened, nor did any other cat or dog.

I'm only saying this because if this is indeed the case, chances are it's affecting your relationships with people and with animals. So it would be useful to free yourself of those feelings. I recommend Faster EFT as an easy quick way to clear stuff like this or any other emotional issues.

It's nothing like that, you really don't understand.
other than the animals for food relationship that has existed since recorded history, a "friendship" with an animal
is illogical and serves no purpose.
People that continually anthropomorphize animals, i feel, is a serious degradation of what's left to actually being Human.
HUMANS are becoming extinct and nobody seems to understand that fact.
We're talking about Humans with a Capital H.

If you want to look at it that way hen pets are one of the things that keep us closer to who we were.

Except for those weirdos that dress their dogs up and push them around in strollers like babies.

Exactly.
That's so messed up!
I wouldn't touch them, let alone, "pet" them.
So.many germs.
No even tell me how clean they are, they're not.
If any animal licked me, I would puke.
That's just gross.
People actually let cats walk on their food prep areas and have litter boxes in their kitchens ffs.
Dogs crap all over the place in public and I have to look at it!
It's disgusting.
