Just imagine how within the not so long ago past...

People actually needed to have real talent to become rich and famous...

No one throughout the modern era was more musically and harmoniously talented than these four people...

Quote:ABBA had sold over 370 million albums and singles worldwide and still sell millions of records a year, which makes them one of the best selling music artists of all time. ABBA was the first pop group to come from a non English speaking country that enjoyed consistent success in the charts of English speaking countries, including the UK, Ireland, the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines and South Africa. The group also enjoyed significant success in Latin American markets, and recorded a collection of their hit songs in Spanish. They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of pop music, topping the charts worldwide from 1972 to 1982

Really amazing for a musical group who were performing and recording together for less than 10 years and only released 8 studio albums...

My sister sang this at my Grandma's funeral. I don't know how, but she kept steady.

As far as musical groups are concerned...

And i dont mean single acts/solo performers...

The biggest selling bands are The Beatles and Led Zeppelin and ABBA...

Whats equally amazing is how The Beatles and Led Zeppelin and ABBA were together for only a relatively very few years...

Recording and releasing new music and performing as a group all over the world for only a relatively very short time...

The Beatles were together doing that for only about 9 years from 1962 till 1970...

Led Zeppelin were together doing that for only about 11 years from 1969 till 1980...

ABBA were only together doing that for about 10 years from 1972 till 1982...

Unbelievably Led Zeppelin and ABBA both released only 8 studio albums of new music...

The Beatles released only 12 studio albums of new music...

Yet they all have sold many hundreds of millions of records all over the world...

Amazingly they're still continuing to constantly sell millions of records all over the world every year...

Their contemporary and currently sustained world wide popularity was and still is unique and enormous and their lasting influence is truly profound...
