I know I shouldn't make fun of the linguistically impaired, but jeez 15.gif

We generally have excellent teachers, but my regular teacher was out on sick leave for 3 weeks and we had this old fart teacher who thought we needed a lesson in basic computer knowledge. Page one in his PowerPoint presentation shows the inside of a computer and he points out the propellers (fans).

He also probably spent a lot of time making a dictionary for us to know what thingies on a computer are called in 3 languages. blink.gif

Sorry old fart teacher, just venting. I'm sure he's a better person than teacher. 15.gif

No shït. chuckle.gif

But hell I don't envy them, not an easy position for sure. Like my German teacher for instance doesn't speak Swedish too well and we have a few immigrants in there as well so class goes in 4 different languages and I help her out as much as I can.

Main reason I started this thread to begin with is because I have to make a PowerPoint presentation myself, deadline tomorrow. beerbong.gif

Everything else is so ğkking interesting when you have to do shitty things. 13.gif

It's bloody tough when you want to learn and the teacher is not up to scratch. I had a similiar problem back in Uni. One of my media modules was taught by a Spanish lady. She was very nice but no-one could understand her all the way through the semester. At the time I really resented paying the tuition fees....

I can see by your coat my friend you're from the other side. Just one thing I got to know. Who won?

Oh I had a ton of issues when I attempted to learn Swedish here. Mainly it's set up for immy's from Somalia, not someone from the States with an engineering background.
It failed me miserably. The goddamned yard apes tried to get me to knit and cut out paper snowflakes. gaah.gif That's just the tip of the Iceberg.
Prometheus knows, he attended the same excuse for a school, that's how him and I and Octo met. Stupid is an understatement.

Dang ~ that's an ass of trouble for just wanting to cobble up a Power Point presentation ~ I do not recall PP being very tough to learn.

It's been a few years for me, but wtf could have changed? <Daj scratches head...>

Power point is easy extraordinaire, too easy. It should be eliminated, there's no reason for it. MS office sucks, Open office is the wave of the future. Academia is grossly overrated.

LOL no PP is not difficult to get your head around. All our classes are presented with PP and we're required to know the whole MS Office suite. But we were also taught why this is the case. And that's because Microsoft can make more money... bored.gif

I remember back at BCIT (I took natural resource technology) we had a computer course. The intrsuctor was from the IT dep't. First day of class he walks in, says "You're all just a bunch of dumb loggers and shouldn't be allowed to touch a computer blink.gif was the last time we saw him. His ass't took over, every single one of us failed and had to be put on a bell curve to pass even lmao.gif the campus pub was still open then so it worked out fine beercheer.gif

chuckle.gif The term
Quote:"dumb loggers"
pretty much cancels out any chance you may have had to learn anything right from the get go. 15.gif Jeze-
