The Canadian Prepper has left me slack-jawed.

This vid (there is an entire series, which I will be watching forthwith) is off the charts in production values and narration.

Seems incongruous compared to the typical offerings from the 'prepper community.'

The first three minutes are intro, but he sets the hook and will reel you in by the end. Enjoy!

+1000 clap.gif We've been contemplating just such a collapse for several years. We at least have a plan.
The most frightning aspect is after about 8 - 12 days, most peoples food is going to run out and there will be packs of armed, dangerous starving people looking to take whatever you have.
That's when the bugout becomes permanent. At that point you have to be isolated enough where no one can find you, and that also requires a source of food and fresh water.
The first month of this will be the most dangerous. Sad to say, thereafter expect a major population reduction.
I'm going to watch the rest of this series myself, great find Daj. Not many have thought this through, and it's really not a matter of if, it's when.

I thought you might appreciate the polish on this guy's work!

He uses pics and analogies from The Walking Dead, which are bespoke for this type of analysis.

One thing he mentioned in another vid: There are no 3rd World Preppers.

This guy is not sloppy in anything. I'm enjoying! pop2.gif

(I'm watching the playlist for the series he has on his YouTube page.)

Okay ~ I watched all of the 'After the Collapse' series.

This guy is the thinkers prepper. While most 'prepper' sites are all about the nuts and bolts of prepping this guy sticks to what he knows ~ which, I gather from the narration, is fortified by his degrees/training in psychology.

He definitely offers much to think about in regards to surviving a collapse as well as making it out through to the other side in some semblance of sanity.

I enjoyed the series, which is on-going ~ and I'll keep an eye peeled for updates.

I stand by my original remark ~ all the videos are well produced, very professional. A pleasure to view. cheers.gif

They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to poor

Coming from the medical field I am going to have to disagree with you on some of this. 1) The people with the major health problems and drug resistant bugs would die off fairly quickly and if it was a long term collapse (over 1 year) all the people with major problems and most with minor ones would die off. 2) Most of the GMO crops would die out with in 2 years because most are not able to reproduce. We would also get hybrids of GMO and natural plants in some cases. This is coming from the research that I have done. 3) The bug population would explode but it would only be for a year or so because of the reduction in their food supply the next year. This as well is just my own research. I just think your time lines are to long on these things

If the above medical person's theory comes to pass, then only the strong will survive, so eating bugs is a no-brainer and the wild edibles most people aren't aware of. Also, keeping one's body in an alkaline state will not allow some diseases to take hold, so have lots of baking soda in storage.

Don't eat maggots; think about what they eat.

But, we really have no clue what type of survival situation we will find ourselves in, so the basics need to be looked after first, which will be dependent on the situation. Be ready for any thing.
