First come first served is used to describe free hot dogs at a car dealer, and has nothing to do with healthcare.

Thats a ridiculous strawman argument that doesnt hold water.

I agree the hospital was understaffed, but there are just too many wrongs lining the path up to this point... I'm thinking social engineering

Your post is designed to make people angry.

It's not first come first serve in ANY healthcare systems. Have you ever heard the term "triage"? It is sickest first, the rest can wait. That post SHOULD make people angry. It should make people VERY angry.

The American healthcare system is fucked up.

Don't get mad at a patient

Get mad at the system and the insurance industry that runs it.

Glad I don't need to be a part of that system.

who the fuck decides who is 'illegal' and 'alien'

İmage

Look at NAFTA, The War on Drugs, for America's insatiable appetite for them, how Mexico has been torn apart by the drug cartels.

In about 40 years Caucasians are going to be the minority ethnic group, I wonder will they then be termed' illegal' for all the atrocities they have permitted, over centuries in the America's.

Can't believe this is pinned.

I pinned it for a number of reasons.

1. It's exclusive, this appears nowhere else on the internet.

2. It exposes a deeper worldwide social engineering program.

3. It exemplifies the sad state of healthcare in the States.

4. I like whistle blowers.

clap.gif Thanks to Enufisenuf for posting. People don't realize how this influx of illegal aliens has changed every facet of American life, and yet it is allowed to continue with the feds doing everything to support it with the exception of admitting they support it.

Yes, Prom, the American healthcare system IS fucked up. We are getting raked over the coals by insurance companies, big pharma and medical supply companies. There are three main reasons we pay so much money for treatment.

First off is the cost of operating a hospital. I'm not referring to payroll. Honestly, that could use a boost for most of the employees. I'm talking cost of supplies. Hospitals charge $10 for band-aids because they are trying to recoup part of the astronomical costs of other supplies. For instance, everything they use in surgery is priced probably 100 times higher than it should be. If they open all the supplies they will need for a certain kind of case and the case cancels, the supplies go into the trash. (It is a sterile process thing.) That is thousands of dollars down the drain and those dollars must be recouped.

Next you have things like malpractice costs that are through the roof because our delightful government refuses to address tort reform. (Could it be because most of them are lawyers? Hmmmm...)

Now we get to the reduced pay and no pay patients. With the economy the way it is, there are far fewer insured people and those people are either on Medicaid and Medicare or are simply uninsured. Hospitals have to take those patients unless they are private hospitals. Those programs both pay a fraction of the normal costs for procedures/visits. The difference must be made up somewhere. the two programs. Now, add to that the "Undocumented Foreign Nationals". (Better?) The "official estimate" is 11.1 MILLION UFNs. Other estimates have the number closer to 30 MILLION (Just a little perspective, that is nearly half of the total population of the UK. ). Whether the number is 11 mil or 30 mil, that is a lot of uninsured patients that can neither be turned away nor pay their bill.

With all the overhead, how can hospitals possibly lower costs or even stay in business?

As JR mentioned, this issue goes far deeper than hospital overhead and our picking up the cost. This is not only being allowed, it is being encouraged. Why? Decimation and subjugation?

.
