yup.gif Good advice! It's so easy just to copy the url of the video and remove the s from https.
That way, the videos will show up in the future as well.
Forcing flash through the YouTube embed function or using this current bbcode that the camera icon spits out means blank videos.
Flash is awful, and way past it's prime. Like Java and windows, it's a security nightmare, and causes your browser to crash way more than it should.

1. Do not use the camera icon. Simply go to the YouTube, Vimeo, or whatever page and copy the URL (web address)

2. Paste it where you want it and REMOVE THE "S" from https://

There. That's it for that.

Now, NEVER use the YouTube EMBED code. It forces flash on people and those with iPads, iPhones and those without flash can't see them.

Please note, if you want everyone to see the videos you post, see instructions 1 and 2. Remember to remove the "s" from https.
That's it.

Adobe flash is being phased out, and good riddance.
If you're using Firefox, use this addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox...verywhere/
It will play your videos in native html5, far better than flash. If there is only flash, then your flash will kick in.
I'm going to pin this, I don't want to name names but I can no longer see a lot of videos posted here because I've scrapped flash, and some of you are using embed code from YouTube or the camera BBcode forcing flash on everyone.
That is sooo 90's. 15.gif

In a few months flash may well disappear, so a lot of you are going to have pages and pages of empty threads and posts.

html5 is a piece of shït.

a cpu hog.

bad sound.

You either work for Adobe, or are are running a 386 loaded with spyware.

When it comes to running on Linux and Mac OS X, HTML5 excels and it has been shown that HTML5 content outshines Flash by running 58% faster than Flash apps. It has also been shown that Flash is not great for mobile devices and laptops whereas HTML5 takes the lead in these areas. Adobe Flash also consumes more power and is not compatible with a touch screen. Because of this, Flash causes a device to heat up. HTML5 on the other hand is compatible with touch screens and it does not have any issues with any device.

HTML5 is becoming increasingly popular with companies such as emaze and Wix (who have previously featured Flash and have made the change to HTML5) providing easy to use, interactive platforms to create presentations and websites that are beautifully designed with minimum work on the users’ end.

No matter what changes we adapt to, over and over they'll just friggin change again and again and again, ever increasing the imminently inevitable chance of my clenched fist slamming through my computer screen and or grabbing it and hurling it through the wall...

Copy pasting the URL and removing the "s" from https:// is just as easy as that FUBAR embed code.

I'm no computer whiz but i think i am copy pasting the URL?

As in those numbers and letters within the top left corner rectangle?

I can see and hear the videos fine but i dunno for sure why some people cant?

Then i remove the s after the http and then add embedded at the end or it wont post properly from my perspective anyways...

Oh, Amen, and amen! İmage

Trick for URL copying:

double-click in the addy bar will highlight the addy so you can do a Ctl-C (or right-click, copy) or the cumbersome Edit/mouse click shït to copy it and then you can Ctl-V (or right-click paste or the Edit/mouse click shït) to paste it in the post message. Sorry, no trick for removing the 's' ~ yer on yer own for that.

Actually html5 player can parse it with the s. It's just for those stuck in 2010 that still use flash.
I guess they don't care about security, and in turn, a lot of us of us won't see their videos.
This is real simple stuff. Like I said, going to be tons of empty posts in the next couple of months.

Well, ok...because you asked:

After you've pasted the video addy into your post, you have two choices (select only one option):

1. Place the cursor to the right of the 's' and press the backspace key once.
2. Place the cursor to the left of the 's' and press the delete key once.

The dreaded 's' will be removed from the addy.

JR, don't you use Palemoon? The HTML5 addon you posted doesn't work with PM.
