Is it possible Ison's Coma is illuminating Mars? K, you have a scope, you should scope this out for us.

That should be correct JB, Mars should not be visible right after sunset and it's not in the right location.
Which makes this even stranger. We were cloudy at sunset so no show for us, but if anybody else could get verification on this it would be great!
I'd love to see some more pics of this. From the ones I've seen, It appears as if it has a corona or coma. dunno.gif

yup.gif I've seen peoples pics of it the past and always dismissed it lens flare, but a few of the more recent ones are bit more compelling.
As soon as we get a clear sunset we'll attempt to get some pics, but this time of year it's difficult to get a cloud free evening.
