There was a viral email story someone sent me a long while back about apparently a true boy meets girl story that was really cool. I was trying to tell someone about it, but couldn't recall the details.

The gist of it is this. A young boy's family is moving away from their home. They might have been moving quite far away to another state. While they are leaving, he sees a pretty little girl on the street corner whom he'd never seen before. He wanted more than anything for his parents to stop so he could meet her, but of course his parents disregard him and drive on.

The boy grows up and for the longest time can never seem to find Miss Right. Finally one day he does meet a girl, whom he falls in love with and marries.

Somehow they discover that they had lived in the same town, etc. This is the part where the details escape me. It's a sweet little story.

Does anyone get that email and recall how it goes?

Pray for me. hug.gif

I remember it.
The boy's family moved to America, and he became a college professor, like on Gilligan's Island. Then one day he went off to Amsterdam and met the woman of his dreams, and soon found himself chained to a wall in the sub-basement of an old brewery in Finland.
Is that the way you remember it?

I'm in my seventh decade on Earth. I know things.
