My movie tip of the week...

Do not go see Johnny Depp's new Pirates of the Caribbean Saga !!!

Get your self a bowl Popcorn and Box Mild Dudes and watch a good old show of Andy Griffith.

I thought it was great, I'd also recommend Wonder Woman. It was the best movie of that genre in a very long time.

You're not the first to say so... 13.gif

Been avoiding the 'children's-comics-movies-for-adults' like the plague
since the first Batman, something. 'Superman' was fun once - after
that the whole thing started to look like a sign of SERIOUS Hollywoodian
innovator's block and mockery of the potential consumer, not much else.
The genre bloody bores me stiff in no time. 15.gif

Should I make an exception for 'Wonder Woman'..? hmm.gif

Big decisions...

Octo and I both thought Wonder Woman was great, a lot of those don't translate well from the comics, but somehow, this did. Gal Gadot looks exactly like you would think she would look based on the comics, and it's set in WWII so the origin hasn't been screwed around with.

Well...I gave 'Wonder Woman' an open-minded, honest try.

Nope.

Not pretending high-browness or anything, but...nope.
Started to feel like an insult to my intelligence a few minutes in.

Just not for me at all.

because that girl is easy on the eyes, that's all.

Next.

Halfway through thisone:

...and I like it a lot.

Maybe a tad slow-tempoed and a wee bit infantile at times
(I do realize the need for that, though: clearly, the movie
aims to address all people from teens to geezers),
but still a bloody well valid observation and debate on the
runaway stampede of Control Society.

Recommended.

I already want to give it 4 1/2 doobies, although I haven't finished it yet...

Well, for the genre at least... 13.gif
