Or close to it? It is my goal one day to be as self sufficient as possible. Anyone have any interesting setups?

This country hasn't been on the grid for that long so yes, we do have an off grid place and knowledge. I did grow up with electricity and indoor plumbing though. lol

Spent all my childhood summers like that.
No 'lecris, no plumbing, no bloody TV.
Know how to grow veggies, chop wood,
carry water, catch fish, yes.

Right now there are some folks around here
who are starting up a perma-culture village
a few miles outta town. Yeah, the preaching
and talking is done. I respect those people
immensely.

Winters must be absolute hell, though 13.gif

I am currently living off the grid in my 'bugout'.

Life is like a penny, you can spend it on what you like, but you can ONLY spend it once.

This town electrified since the 1890's.
First electric public street lights in September 1901.
Telephone grid up and working in 1887.

Yup, given a few basic tools, horse, ax, I could do quite nicely off the grid. We bought a remote 1/4 section and built a cabin, no tractor, but we had a skid horse. It was an awesome way to grow up.

My bodies been strangulated within this rat race for too damn long...

My minds been thinking way off the grid ever since i could fly it far away...

An excruciatingly incompatible combination when your a tortured soul in the material world...

Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out where and what i'm ever faster hurling myself towards...

Just another easier to forget dazed and confused child of the grave but at least i'm enjoying the hellish ride...

Believe me,i could teach quite a few mental health general practitioners a thing or two,i mean like really open up their closed eyes and narrow minds, but they then might be forced to see and defend too many things that they really dont want to see,so they probably wouldnt talk and listen to me anyways, but like hey,no major loss...
