It's so far been classic weather for this month. Two days ago it was a lovely, warm (+12C) and sunny day.

Today we have a blizzard with strong northern winds and it's more of the same for tomorrow vic.gif

Too bad Octo, if you are like me where the Winter seems way too long and dismal, when a bit of nice weather happens I want it to stick around.

Looking at a map it appears southernmost Finland is at the same latitude as southern Greenland and closer to the North Pole than Labrador. Canada's Northwest Passage looks to be on the same latitude as Helsinki at the southern tip. It's a wonder Europe isn't smothered by snow 10 months a year.

Stay frosty! chuckle.gif

Here in Florida we have the same wardrobe challenges. Should we wear the blue Hawaiian shirt or the red one?

It's not a wonder, it's the Gulf stream. Finland has approximately the same climate as Michigan.

Our weather here has changed dramatically ever since so many of our trees got wiped out. We used to get bands of rain. Now we get long downpours and fog. A lot more wind off the gulf too which is really nice. In the first few months, we had 3.5 times as much rain as the average for this time of year. That change has probably continued.

It's pretty normal here. Lows follow a track that that first deep track sets. That pattern turns a whole season to shit
