They'll never be able to exterminate our instinctive fears of them and if we were not so cautious and afraid of them our human civilization would have probably been killed off by venomous insects long ago and for what its worth theres around 250,000,000 insects for every 1 person on earth and theres 7,000,000,000 people...

Good! That's hopeful, because should TSHTF I will be cooking them for dinner.

I don't have problems sleeping unless I see a spider in the bedroom and it disappears. damned.gif I'm more worried about the dog dragging a tick to bed, they're so tiny, but a realistic threat aaah2.gif

Sometimes the most deadly things come in small packages...

My brother awakened one morning to find a two inch wide spider sitting upon his bare chest while arched back in a defensive posture with its fangs undulating up and down while looking right into his eyes and he flung the damn thing off and across the room before it was able to bite him and unfortunately he couldnt find it...

Without flag or falter I would have pulled apart every square inch of that room until I found that damn spider dead or alive...

A guy I worked with was opening up a box shipped from Vietnam and he let out a yell and jumped backwards as a three inch wide spider ran out of the box and up his arm while biting him there and his entire arm swelled up and he lived but we could not find that dman friggin spider anywhere...

We had a feeling that some weirdo prankster intentionally place that venomous spider there within that box as a sick joke?!

A few years ago during the summer another guy that i use to work with around here in Massachusetts went outside for a break and came back in with one of these types of Black Widow spiders imaged below that he managed to capture within a glass jar that he happened to see walking towards him across the picnic table where he was sitting and I was like "get that thing the f##k outta here!...

During the summer back in the 1970s a lady in her 40s who lived (notice the past tense use of that word) directly across the street from me died from the venomous bite of one of these same types of Black Widow spiders...

Her husband was tearing out the old wooden steps attached to the front of their single story house and she decided to bring him out something to eat and drink for lunch and so she stepped out onto where he was working and she immediately felt a stinging burning feeling near her ankle and there they saw a Black Widow spider running away across her shoe and a few hours later she was dead...

The road to hell is paved with good intentions...
