I wonder what y'all think my score was? How one perceives oneself can be opposite of how others perceive them.

Not really, you're more level headed than arrogant. Imo.

See now sometimes I feel as if I am arrogant, but then I put that negative self-analysis down to the sexist upbringing I endured.

As a female brought up in the 50's and 60's with rampant sexism, I do feel that I was not nurtured in the areas of leadership and achieving success in the form of higher learning. I would have loved to be a scientist but had absolutely no support from anyone.

My mother has similar experiences, she wasn't "allowed" to pursue what she wanted so she ended up working for a bank her whole life, which she hated. That's why she made a huge number out of us kids choosing the career we wanted. I think it was just the culture back then.

There are so many other factors that play into this, and, yes, I did score very low...a 6 and that was with me sometimes acknowledging that I can and do take on leadership and decision-making roles. Does this reflect on someone as having low self-esteem as an opposite of narcissism? I doubt it.

I don't see it as having low self-esteem at all to be in the low end of the narcissist scale.

Perhaps just the opposite. Narcissism may be a manifestation of low self-esteem.
