~~~~~~~ Alaska Skies , sultry eye's ~~~~~~
Scenic drive
set of the Sun
beneath Azure skies
Cloud dotted
flayed and hung
with heavens eyes
Hollow Mask of mountain
faced with Stone
what depth within you
Followed task surmounting
out on your own
what depth within you
out on your own
Child's eye's
filled with surprise
all they see
they crave to own
Fountain filled
set of Sun revealed
can we manage to be alone
all alone
Thin arms wrapped
sensing moments tapped
can we be
headed home
Ravens hiss
or Robins kiss
sound of life in the air
Craving bliss
such as this
undone all your care
carpeted in Pine
site to recline
breath filled pure
crossed the line
into shine
you've willed the lure
~~~~~ chorus ~~~~~

gonna shine like lighting

gonna roll like thunder

shine like lighting

burn to wander

to wander

burn to wander

~~~~~~~ light thy way ~~~~~~
For every darkness
there's a light to relieve
For every instance of pain
there's a comforting hand
for out of darkness
you must believe
you have command
that brings you home
home again
I swear I've seen some darkness
swear I've been pulled down
Just as often
I've been pulled up
again
to stand my ground
Every night you sleep
in dreams of light
when you've found
when you've found your common ground
~~~!~ ( chorus ) ~~~~`~~

break down your wall around you

break it down and let us
come on in

break down
that wall around you

we're here to be a friend

~~~ Second verse ~~~~~
I know you've seen
troubles in every
in every scene
of your life
I hear you when you cry
i've felt every sob
felt every sigh
and breathless tear
on your cheeks
I hold you in my heart
and wrap you
wrap you deep in love
comfort you till you come
come back home to you
and smile me away
smile me away child
Smile me a new day
new day child
in your way
Til you smile me home
til you shine
til you smile us home
til we shine
Swear i've loved you all
my life
can't bare to feel your grief
cared all my life
please allow my relief
~~~~~ ( repeat chorus ) ~~~~~

nothing gonna stop us

nothin' gonna stand
stand in our way

nothin' gonna' stop us
we're gonna shine
like a brand new day

Sun come rollin up
shine our way
mornin' the sweetest
sweetest time of day

rollin up
shining
shining out our way
sweetest time of
sweetest time of day

~~~~ End with chorus~~~~~~~
Rog' on site treasure hunting
the cell phone is hung on my t-shirt to keep it from being snagged
by the cat-claw bushes and lost .
This is next to the boulder with the La Rue Strike Mark
his main camp in the Mountains .
behind me and to your left is the Spring known as Espiritu de Santos spring
spirit of the saints spring
best water there was on this side of the Mountains
so his camp was built here
he eventually built an Adobe Cabin here
which eroded away finally , and then in 1932 a stone cabin was built over
his original building plot , and was used for miners fro the mine up
behind me in the picture
The Strike Mark of La Rue
as he carved a niche into the boulder and burned his strike mark
into the niche to protect it from weather
Note the top of the niche is a chiseled arrow pointing due South East to
his map he painted on a Huge Boulder 600 yards away .
~~~~~~ Genuflect out of respect for the reject of neglect ~~~~~~

A supposition of mine is that in the DNA coding of humans
there must be a gene that causes certain people to
desire having an Authority figure rule over them .

Seen in pack animals , seen in packs of humans , i cannot see it in myself .

Somewhere back in time

when that gene was passed out , an ancestor or two of mine , must have overslept
their appointment for installation of that gene .

I am certain that I am a reject due to neglect by those ancestors to adhere to
the call of subservience and the installation of the ,,," Bow to me gene "

narcissism ? Self deluded ?

No care have I,,,, if that is so , my point directly is that I have always noticed
the difference in myself compared to others whom so willing give up

they're own authority over to others they feel are above them on the Vine of
string beans we are as a species .

Pride in my abnormality amongst people ?

yes , i have that pride .

How weak it is in some humans to wish a King over themselves and support at the same time ,
the idea that all others must accept their King for themselves as well .

Point blank : " I despise others attempting to dictate to me , my choices in life ,
attempting to direct my life as though they had ownership of it . "

Just as Disturbing to me , is the extortion people will pay to corrupt authorities in order
to maintain their feeling of being safe .

Impossible for me to accept their cowardice .

In a Post to follow ,
i will outline an event in which that cowardice touched my life in a very adverse way .

also
the engineer they have for that label was piss poor

however , in live performance they were ass-kickin'

they did some long jams and drum solo's that were awesome

one song was like another on their albums

but live they were much better .

some bands were meant to be heard live instead of vinyl

But I got to chase my dreams girl like a river to the sea
Got to find the rainbow that's waitin' there for me

what i mean is

the song could tell more of the story

rather than so much repeat of the chorus

like this::::

" Side of the road
thumb out

open skies above me

waiting on a ride

a ride unto anywhere
suits me fine

cross country
or cross that county line

Drift with the moment
or stay
and remain your man

I have to wander girl
can't sit
and i can't standf

gotta move
rolling on

gotta keep mobile

keep moving on

restless soul I'm born with
don't allow no moss

I have to wander
no care what the cost

I agree, but it was probably written in 1969 and came out in 1970. That should explain alot. chuckle.gif

I like story tellin' in my songs

what came first the story or the song

in each of the ones i write
the event took place , spawned the inspiration for the lyrics

Bob Dylan Style

like this

~~~~~~ Simple twist of fate ~~~~
" They sat together in the park
As the evening sky grew dark
She looked at him and he felt a spark tingle to his bones
’Twas then he felt alone and wished that he’d gone straight
And watched out for a simple twist of fate
They walked along by the old canal
A little confused, I remember well
And stopped into a strange hotel with a neon burnin’ bright
He felt the heat of the night hit him like a freight train
Moving with a simple twist of fate
A saxophone someplace far off played
As she was walkin’ by the arcade
As the light bust through a beat-up shade where he was wakin’ up,
She dropped a coin into the cup of a blind man at the gate
And forgot about a simple twist of fate
He woke up, the room was bare
He didn’t see her anywhere
He told himself he didn’t care, pushed the window open wide
Felt an emptiness inside to which he just could not relate
Brought on by a simple twist of fate
He hears the ticking of the clocks
And walks along with a parrot that talks
Hunts her down by the waterfront docks where the sailors all come in
Maybe she’ll pick him out again, how long must he wait
Once more for a simple twist of fate
People tell me it’s a sin
To know and feel too much within
I still believe she was my twin, but I lost the ring
She was born in spring, but I was born too late
Blame it on a simple twist of fate
here's one i'll write right now about an event in my life
~~~~ Wake to the nightmare ~~~~

Doors all locked
hear the mumble

two invaders
here to rumble

Back door ain't no escape

woke too soon or
slept too late

Gun up
one goes down
the other dodges out of town

Lady friend emptied the clip
should'a busted her head
at least split her lip

Cops gone crazy for gold
this damned games
gotten too damn old

Cheatin' hearts
and cheatin' friends

cheatin's all done
when this cheatin game ends

Light burst in a moonless night
something here
just ain't that right

streak of green robed in blue
across the sky
craft up there
can't be true
hologram why
no more care
screaming dreams
wrapped in
screaming nightmare

drivin' north to lose the tail
freaks of NSA follow you
all the way to hell

stop in town to see a girl
followed me around
freaking with my world

freaking people
and their freaky games

freaky faces
with fake ass names

Black Ops project
labeled with my face
should have stuck
with the rocket
for the race for space

but gold gave them
the motive to freak with me
now two more deaths
in my family tree

work my hands to the bone
all across these lands
they don't leave a man
alone

chase him down
like a wounded pig
tax dollars pay
for their freaky gig

Times have changed
but the policies the same
sick the deranged
on a man with a game

You tell me this countries the best

i feel down hearted
for all the rest

cause if this is the
best we can do

then the worlds done
it's over
all through

~~~~~ End
~~~~~~~~ Soul Sediment ~~~~~~~~~

She stands to reason
what cannot be felt

her heart in season
no doubt she feels it swell

Love glazed eye's
leaning backward over head

under blue skies
sitting pretty on her bed

Talk of ages
was that,,,
she'd come down sometime

turning back pages
to a lost but much better time

Knights in Armor
steeds dressed to kill

lance over shoulder
await command of her will

Too many days in the desert
waiting for rain

too many days laying
soaking in pain

free now
she runs to fill
her hearts longing
to sit upon her hill

Come round to reasons
none suffice
bare knuckled pride
has a very high price

Love on the fly

has a much deeper price

Love through her will

has an even deeper slice

Pay out for loving
the wrong man
she finds herself spent

straight out loving
what she can
as though
her love's for rent

What does it
compel her to stand
stand there waiting
waiting on the
wrong damned man

What does it
brings her undone
by her own hand
hearts been twisted
twisted and wrung

daylight morning rise
high over her hill

sometimes your love
is not by your will

But by tomorrows fate
to bring you around
to find yourself better off
then loving that clown

~~~ ( chorus ) ~~~~
Love on the fly
has a much deeper price
Love through her will
has an even deeper slice
( second verse )
Castles no home
too large for a lover
who lives there alone
She wrestles with feelings
held too long
never let them free
keeps her reeling
spinning
away from being free
Small wonder her hurt and pain
you can't run wild
through a down pour
of tears like rain
Who knows
one day she may
again live her dream
heaven knows
she's heavy
with too much she's seen
Someone may come along
and teach her
how to love again
She'll hold together her heart
hopefully until then ,,,,
~~~~~ ( chorus ) ~~~~~~

Love on the fly

has a much deeper price

Love through her will

has an even deeper slice

~~~~~ End
