I'm about as far away from being gay as anyone could imagine...But even i can see these guys were one helluva good looking rock band...

I have a good friend that played drums for Angel back in the 70's. I ask him what they were like to be around, and in his gayest lisp impersonation he said...

well.. i dunno about bestlookin..

but i will say that this is one of the best tunes ever..

and i have had it in my head since i read this thread lol..

so i hadda go find it and listen.

REO was from Champaign, Illinois, Just 100 miles from where I grew up. I saw them play at the local National Guard Armory when I was ten, paid 2 bucks to get in. Great show, I'll never forget it.
I remember this one in particular....

Killer stuff from when they were actually a decent rock band. In the early 80's they wimped out and started writing shit to appease record execs and the general public, was all down hill for them after that.

Felix Robinson was one of my great crushes. I threw underwear at these guys while they were onstage , a few times. There's photos of punky with some of it hanging off his guitar at a show in NYC. Yeah really

And I have been backstage with them. Not one of them lisped. They got, and did, more girls, than you can possibly imagine

My friend is a studio drummer who filled in for Barry on some tour dates, when he messed up his wrist.
As for the lisp

Was just repeating his impression, made me laugh when he told the story though.

Another thing i've been noticing about these hair metal bands is their more or less tattoo less bodies like whats up with that?

I guess they dont want to distract anyones attention away from all that hair (*=*)
