Well...I know it's awfully mainstream, but you've got to admit
that the opening scene of 'Forest Gump' was kinda awesome.

Not sure if "best", but apparently one I remember.

Profound and mesmerizingly unique opening title sequences for two supreme technicolor widescreen movie masterpieces by Alfred Hitchcock...

Along with Bernard Herrmanns haunting and hypnotically intrancing theme music for both great films...
