Be advised that among grass roots believers the "rapture next" doctrine has been and is hotly debated. Not all expect to be "raptured" before the Beast emerges and takes over.

Many notice Revelation 20:4 that shows the saved were beheaded .... not raptured.

But John thruout human history all megalomaniac leaders and preachers have claimed to be sons of God .
God never ever said that he has sons but sons have claimed gods paternity .
From Pharos to Romans to Jesus to Hirohito to Kim Il Jung and all the Indian deities in between.
At least Jesus personally appointed Peter as his first Pope but who knows who appointed Joseph Smith??

The big mistake we made when we created the Bible in 315AD was to include the Jewish Old Testament in it.
The idea of including the OT was to give this new religion credibility and acceptance .
We should have left the OT totally out of the bible
This way we would have had a crisp new religion based totally on Jesus return.
This in a nutshell is what the Christian religion:
Gom and doom and apocalyptical destruction of the world which is to end when Jesus returns on a horse thru the clouds
If you are a loser and can't cope with life or have a mountain of debts you can't pay suddenly the Jesus returning very soon story becomes a very attractive escape from reality.
It has worked for 2000 years
Jesus said : I go and prepare a place for you and come back and take you with me.. and even his disciples belived him and stopped working and waited on the beach.
I don't understand how long does it take the Angels to build these mansions for Christians born again?? And why could Jesus have had these houses built before he came the first time?? It would have saved him having to come back?
