I turned off windows updates on 7 and 8.1 as soon as I heard about 10. 'Security' updates my ass.
I fart on their telemetry. A decent paid firewall will prevent Windoze from connecting to the internet.
Don't trust the built in one unless you know how to set rules.
The other day notepad tried to access the internet, LMAO!
What the hell for? OMG, Windows is spyware.

You can still update. Just set updates so that you have to see them and select them manually. The updates you want to hide are KB3021917, KB3035583 and KB3022345. Add those up and you get 666...

I installed 8.1 and never updated it. Runs amazingly fast.
Win 7 has the service packs, and that's it.
I can't emphasize how important a good, paid firewall is.

Yeah, KB. I think they tried to use our good name to trick people into thinking their updates were good.

You should sue...

The .1 in 8.1 is essentially the service pack for 8. I just couldn't deal with 8. In fact, I despised it. I'm still running 7 and will just stick with it. Then again, I was using 8 with a touch pad and not a mouse. Maybe with a mouse it would work better.
