Following a study in Europe examining the effects of CFL bulbs on the skin, researchers from Stony Brook University in New York conducted a similar study to examine the bulbs’ impact on human skin cells. For the study, the researchers purchased CFL bulb from various locations, and then measured the amount of UV radiation emissions. What they found in every single one of the bulbs studied was “significant levels of UVC and UVA” which was a result of cracks that were present in the coating on the bulbs

The new efficient bulbs produce ugly light, burn the skin and are full of mercury. This is what the POO want us to be using as opposed to conventional bulbs?
The big move is to LED's they are way more efficient, last a hundred times longer and harmless to the environment. They are the wave of the future.

Quote:Out of these, only UVA and UVB types are harmful to our skin, damaging its surface and inner structure when taking prolonged sunbaths. This happens because the third type, the UVC radiation, does not penetrate the atmosphere's ozone layer and does not reach Earth.

Household chemicals linked to increase in cancer and infertility, says EU report

In recent decades, there has been a significant growth in many human diseases and disorders including breast and prostate cancer, male infertility and diabetes. Many scientists think that this growth is connected to the rising levels of exposure to mixtures of some chemicals in widespread use.

Yes I think it was posted on some thread some time ago. Endocrine disruptors ğck up the insulin regulating functions or something like that. It's a pretty evil plan. 13.gif

sad2.gif diabetes is a nasty disease, your body rots from the inside out and soooo many are getting it. My nephew when he was 18 and not obese, quite skinny. I use mainly oxiclean for a cleanser. How do you get away from laundry detergent though?

Well I'm not going to start making my own laundry detergent 13.gif I just get some generic brand with no phosphates and very little extra crap. We use bleach, baking soda and crystal soda for all our cleaning.

I can only think of Soap nuts as a non toxic alternative, I know my sister's tried those, but I don't remember her verdict it's been so long. They're also pretty expensive here. 13.gif

Lots of Soopalalie -Sheperdia canadensis- around here, indians used to make soap. Also use it to make ice cream don't know how to do that though. Except I know you can't touch the berries, put a blanket or plastic under the bush and shake off the berries.
