Can ghosts haunt a newly built house?

My husband and I moved into a brand new house about 3 months ago and everything was calm and peaceful until about two weeks ago.
First we started hearing footsteps in the attic at night, and the night before last we woke up to pounding on the window and what sounded like whispers of many people talking.
I just can't understand why all this in a brand new place.
Sometimes hubby has to go out of town for his job, and he's leaving next week. He says it's just the new house settling and I need to chillax.
Any thoughts on this? Can a new house have spirits roaming in it?

Yes I believe it's possible for ghosts to roam new houses. Didn't you watch Poltergeist? damned.gif

You could very well have racoons up there. If the house was recently built they may have came in there when it was open and got framed in as they finished.
I've seen this type of thing happen, and also birds can make a lot more noise than one would think. I would do my best to debunk this before I get too hung up into paranormal.
The banging on windows.. Do you have trees or bushes close by any windows that could knock on the window if the wind is just right?
Eliminate the possible logical explanations first.
If you have a smartphone, you can download Ghost hunting apps. Take an EM sweep through the house to establish as baseline reading, then if and when what you perceive to be anomalous is happening take a reading then if it's spiking during activity, I'd like to know about it.
Octo and I lived in a haunted house for a while, I know that can happen, but keep in mind, that's not the end of the world, and you can probably get rid of them yourself without too much hassle.
Keep us posted, interesting dilemma - but I'm not convinced you have anything dangerous going on.

yes, yes and yes..

its probably the ground. earth ley lines get manipulated quite easily..

organite is good to place around the house.. you can buy it online.. that can help close ley line issues.. cause you may be living on a spirit portal.. that doesnt mean its bad stuff, most spirits/ghosts are harmless..

you could give the place a going over with a sage stick and asking everything to go..

find a good spiritual healer in your area and get them to come and clear it..

Our place seems to have some residual energy lingering around even though it's a fairly new subdivision and no violent or other deaths have occurred here since it was build. But old maps show houses in this area so there could be walkers everywhere damned.gif

Yeah, the stuff we have experienced in the laundry area sometimes goes other places nearby as well.
They are still having problems with people staying in the townhouses across from us for more than a couple months, though I don't know the story there for certain.
At this point, this activity seems residual, and though not harmful per se, there is a kind of strange...bad feeling to it as well; as if what happened that keeps them stuck here must have been something pretty dramatic.
Still, way to close for comfort to engage it in any way to find out if my residual hunch is right.

Some ghosts/entities are supposed to follow specific
persons around, rather than being connected to a
place or building...

True that 13.gif

Have you, OP, experienced anything paranormal previous to moving in there?

Ghosts and poltergeists and other supernatural occurrences may be telekinetic abilities and psychokinetic activities subconsciously projected from the human mind and usually from the minds of young men and women present within the house or building who are going through the growing pains of puberty and are emotionally troubled and confused...
