At least they had the guts to stand there in person to announce it.

Hundreds of thousands of people, maybe millions of people across the US and EU have lost their jobs in a similar fashion in recent years.

Very uncool for a/c manufactures.
Used to work with them on creating industrial chillers in Indy.
I'm not certain how the us is going to survive with no manufacturing.

I know allot of people that work in the HVAC/R industry, they are not going to order parts or install their systems any more.

Carrier thinks they will be saving money, they are in for a huge surprise !

Daikin Industries, Ltd. Announces Expansion and Consolidation

of Goodman Operations in Houston, TX

HOUSTON (January 6, 2015) – Daikin Industries, Ltd., the world’s largest manufacturer of heating, cooling and refrigerant products, announced today that its board members have approved an expansion plan for its Goodman operations in the United States. Over the next several years, Daikin will be building a new state-of-the art business campus that consolidates the current manufacturing and logistics footprints to a location outside of Houston, TX, in an area near U.S. 290 and approximately three miles west of Texas State Highway 99. The new campus is currently projected to be operational mid-2016. This commitment of approximately $417M represents the largest single investment since the founding of the Goodman organization over thirty years ago. The construction is planned to commence in the coming months.

Company boycotts Carrier in sympathy of laid off workers...

And there is going to be allot more company's doing this. LMAO

“We’re not helping buy a CEO their 5th vacation home, we’re helping feed our family,” said R.D. Poffenbarger as he installed a thermostat.

Good for you, it seems boycotting products is the only way to tackle this problem.

No, they didn't. They sent some low-level flunkee out to face the mob.

The guy(s) that actually made the decision to move to Mexico were still secure in their moated palaces.

all the workers at Daikin in Houston are wetbacks dude

same fuckers , just different locales

the good news is

that's 1400 wetbacks that can stay in Mexico

of course , the way those dick heads breed , there'll be 48,000 of them
coming across the border this year anyway

taking all construction jobs , even the Unions are taking them in .

do not expect anyone to run them out either .
