And i aint complaining about this green Christmas with no storms of snow to shovel and when the sun finally appears above us around here again (i mean like its been cloudy and rainy for just about every day for the past two weeks) the temperature might reach a very unusually winter warm 65 degrees and i still aint complaining (*-*) http://www.whdh.com/weather

Wow that's awfully warm for that neck of the woods this time of year. I could deal with those temps.

Whats that in F the C is so alien to me? at least the regular american way of measuring temperature is a little easier for me to visually and mentally understand because its the same as counting upwards and downwards with numbers and money like as in the number 10 is also ten dollars and 10 F degrees is ten more than zero ect ect...

65 F is 18 C degrees. Your 60 F is 15.5 C. Fahrenheit is tricky for us Europeans to grasp as it's totally illogical. 13.gif

0 degrees Celsius is the freezing point of water. 100 C is the boiling point. One liter of water weighs 1 kilo = 1 cubic decimeter.

1 millimeter of rain means one liter of water per square meter.

It makes more sense.

yea its a lot easier way of doing and thinking about things ... but weve been fed this "our way is better " crap for generations hard for some americans to grasp that its the same basic concept but mathematically it makes more sense. and conversions are easier..... stupid nationalism.....

My daughter was bitching about math when she was littler, saying she's never going to use that crap anyway. I told her just wait until you have to convert an American recipe into metrics...

What's really amazing is drugs are sold in metric units. Even in the states, most realize1/4 of an ounce is 7.087 grams. I realize the illusion of stupid stoners is what illogical people enjoy clinging to; but nothing could be further from reality. bored.gif

Thankfully a cup is 2,4 deciliters which makes it easy to divide into metrics. Not so easy when a recipe calls for ounces which is different from liquid ounces, not to mention "a stick of butter".

A stick is apparently 110 something grams damned.gif
