dunno.gif the cops seem pretty mellow, nothing as bad as some I've personally seen. A police stop on a busy holiday is and has been routine in the states for a number of years, which varies from locality to locality.
Its the politicians and their bank and corporate pandering that make me personally think 1940's Deutschland, their shït filters downhill much like the shït it is.

Random traffic stops on busy roads during big drinking holidays have been common practice here as long as I can remember...I think it's an excellent idea to keep drunk drivers off the road 13.gif

That was not the case in this instance. They were stopping and checking every car on that road. Police should not blanket check everyone and everything thing driving on the road. Their job should be detective work. What they are doing is lazy police work and making easy money from the victims.

what's with the people in civilian clothing ? Who were they ? what right have they to work in tandem with the police ? If they were police they should wear a badge with identifiable number.

I understand the policeman is told to do his job from on high.I'm sure he's wasn't best pleased on a holiday weekend nighshift, stopping everything car on a particular road.

No difference to stopping every pedestrian on the street as a potential suspect. Or what the TSA goon squads get up to.

This molestation of people in their everyday lives has to stop. TPTB, change things incrementally. If you think police searching without a warrant is fine, they get in line for even more nefarious encroachment to your sense of freedom.
