Quote:Humans are tropical animals. We are adapted to a warm climate. When exposed to cold, the body tries to stay warm. If the body is cooling off, circulation decreases in the arms, legs, ears, and nose so that the rest of the core body can stay warm. When temperatures are below freezing, ice may form in these areas with less circulation.

We are tropical kritters huh, then I'm living in the wrong latitude.

I gotta devise a way to live in Florida as a snowbird during harsh Canadian Winters.

I've got the opposite problem. I'm a veritable ball of heat. Airconditiong can never be turned down low enough for me. Get strange looks from everyone when I'm wearing a t-shirt in 5 degree weather.

Did you ever try to find out why that is?

No I haven't to be honest, I've just accepted that it's the way I am. Now you've piqued my curiosity. Off to find out why. Thank you hug.gif

A 'supervisor' at work (not my boss, just there so long she runs the label maker and laminator and nothing else) turns on the A/C in winter. I come in from outside in -30 weather and the shack is cold, I NEED TO WARM UP!! She's wearing a jacket inside, warm and comfortable and turns on the ğkking A/C. So I'd turn the heat on. She installs a cage with a lock around the thermostat, and tapes it up so I can't twig it. She doesn't know a friggin paperclip works like the key lmao.gif

It's difficult working/living with someone who has opposite internal temperatures, that's for sure.
