As frightening and hard to imagine as it is crushing unstoppable all consuming ice ages have happened before over and over and major glaciations of vast areas of earth with varying degrees of severity will happen again and again and where i live (just my f###en luck) and new york city and boston and chicago ect ect will be annihilated and exist no more and if ice ages happen fast hundreds of millions of people are really screwed...

Long term temperature records collected by the Finnish Meteorological Institute FMI paint a clear picture that Finland is warming up.

The data show that over the past 50 years the Finnish climate has warmed up in every part of the country. At their highest, average monthly temperatures have increased by nearly two degrees Celsius.

I tell you, Brazilian waxes are so last millennium. Finnish waxes are the next big thing and I'm pretty sure it's going to be a tar based product.

Maybe thousands of years later they'll find a Wooly Chicagoan with undigested sausages in his mouth and stomach.

I wear a toque under my hardhat, a liner over it, a scarf around my neck and face, a jacket that goes to my knees with a sweater under it and my steel toed boots are too cold so I wear my winter felt packs and hope nobody notices. We sit in the pick-up for 10 minutes every half hour or so just to avoid frostbite. Your core temp drops to where you aren't warm until morning then start over. Even now I'm chilled just thinking about it. Gawd I hate my job sometimes gaah.gif
