Quote:“Submit your message to the festival, and we will transmit two of them using the radio telescope of the Algonquin Radio Observatory in Algonquin Park.”

The messages will be transmitted to two stars, named Tau Ceti and Kepler 62. Because Tau Ceti is only 12 light-years from Earth, the radio signals will reach that system in 12 years. If someone is there to receive the message and respond, we could conceivably hear a reply in the year 2037.

“This is a fun opportunity for people to think about how to construct a message that intelligent extraterrestrials might be able to understand,” says Reid (pictured right). “It’s also an opportunity to explore the technological challenges involved in actually getting a message to another star.”

I'm just curious what everyone here would want to say. I'm still thinking of my message, but I will post it once I formulate it.

Here is more information on the tentatively habitable planets in Tau Ceti (five planets) and Kepler 62 (two Earths?).

Offensive to aliens to a)Send a "radio" signal, b)Send a message to some far away planet. I can't really state the whole truth about greys but it's primitive to think that they would need a verbal message to "hear" it and that you'd need to send it across the cosmos for them to get it. Maybe they're "talking" to some other aliens, but for a species to receive and interpret such a message it would be a primitive species; one that couldn't do anything about it.

I don't know why people are so fascinated with "aliens" and even then think if they found them or interacted with them they'd even care what you'd have to "say". The reason why is not common information (not known to those that know about them) and not something I'm prepared to release on the internet.

they never stood a chance,,,way out numbered,,,

out armed,,,it is amazing as many survived as did,,,

but even if they could have gotten together,,,
