I only post this because at the last bbq with my sis, the method of dealing with corn for the bbq caused a small rukus.

Sis and I decided to bbq the corn in their husks, but her husband and I were in the kitchen and we both decided to remove the silk only. When she found this out she caused a small rukus stating that the silk is what will keep the corn moist - we both disagreed and said the interior of the husk will keep it moist. Well, it turned out we were right and she was wrong. Meh.

Anyway, corn on the cob season will soon be upon us and here's my fav vid as to how to shuck corn easily and quickly.

Everybody likes corn on the cob it seems. chuckle.gif

Good tip! Reminds me of a riddle

What is the vegetable?

You throw away the outside and eat the inside then throw away the inside?

Corn wont even really grow around here lol. I think I've seen corn in the husks maybe twice at the store in the past eight years.
My shucking skills are waning... chuckle.gif

Here the markets have large tall bins full of corn on cob and I will be shucking them as the farmer in the vid does...it should be an impressive site for all to see. chuckle.gif

Here's another quick and easy way for those of you who aren't opposed to using a microwave.

That's a great idea Shadow, thanks. I will definitely try it because I do make shishkebobs now and again. thumbsup.gif

I really like making shishkebobs, it's lots of prep but few dishes and you can get so creative. Wrap bacon around a chunk of marinated beef or chicken, zucchini, pineapple, banana... endless.

Why is a carrot more orange than an orange?

You are very inquisitive Beyond, but let's say the yellow corn is the female and the popped corn is the male. I surmize the yellow corn is holding the letter 'A' (for assh** - but disguised as something else) which she will promptly hit him over the head with because of his reply to her.

Haaaaaaaa!!!!!! Ha.
