Cows mysteriously line up and stare

The guy who shot this 20 second video says the cows stayed that way for an hour and 25 minutes but were not eating.

They are located about 60 miles east of Dallas and were looking south towards Houston or thereabouts. The protecting donkey didn't seem to pick up on whatever the cows were staring at. The farmer says the donkey would normally react if there were a predator nearby.

Anybody have experiences with cow behavior? No one on gee el pee seems to know why they did this.

What's going on?

Quote:The reason is that cows must chew their food twice in order to digest it properly. Cows spend nearly eight hours out of every day chewing their cud.

Hi US! No, the train stops in Helsinki. You can't get to continental Europe by train from Finland. But we are catching a flight to Alicante in a few hours. Still on the Mefiterranean coast, just further south. Olé! beercheer.gif

Oh shoot! Sorry! It's so eerie how they are all facing the exact same way with their heads up looking forward. Are they waiting for Codot? The videographer says they stayed like that for almost an hour and a half. There is a donkey nearby that protects the cows from predators, but he isn't reacting at all.

this happened to me once when I was stepping through a barbed wire fence into a pasture

I looked up and saw that as I was coming through the fence that several cows had stopped grazing and were fixated on me.

Then I heard he rattle.

There was a diamond back just out of striking distance of my leg.
