I was born on august 11th, 1986.

I turned 5 years old, on August 11th, 1991.
I entered the 5th grade (the average first touch with the dare program, for school kids) on September 8th, 1996.

I have NEVER been through any dare program in school.
(and unfortunately, no other program either, including math)
lol but that's another issue for another post sometime.

I have never been arrested for any crime, ever.
I never used any illegal drugs.
I never "experimented" with any illegal drugs.
I didn't give a shït, about any illegal drugs.

I always turned down any offer to start using them.

Why then would a dare student, fare much worse, than a kid who never went to a dare program ?

Dare is a failure.. and it seems like absolutely no education about drugs, is the winner here.

but why ?

Hi white ribbon,

yeah,,,pretty obvious Exeter,,,

Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) is an international education program founded by Daryl F. Gates that seeks to prevent use of controlled drugs, membership in gangs, and violent behavior. DARE, which has expanded globally since its founding in 1983, is a demand-side drug control strategy of the American War on Drugs. Students who enter the program sign a pledge not to use drugs or join gangs and are taught by local police officers about the dangers of drug use in an interactive in-school curriculum which lasts ten weeks. DARE America has its headquarters in Inglewood, California.

it's effectiveness,,,is debated,,,and also,,,almost impossible to judge...

I guess it is important to someone,,,not sure a hot topic on this forum...

Never seen an anti-drug campaign directed at
school-kids (or anyone else) tell the truth about
the ganja.

The blatant lies immediately making (smart)
kids start seeing through the whole friggin' BS
and the true nature of the "war on drugs".

The POO handing out the best political thinking
machine ever seen. Potheads on an entirely
different level of political debate than the majority
of others; loads of crap cut from the get-go.

Aah, the irony. chuckle.gif
