FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Police say a Connecticut woman became concerned when she heard someone calling "Daddy" repeatedly near a school. But when she began looking for a child, she instead found a large green parrot up in a tree.

Fairfield police Lt. James Perez says the fire department used a long pole to remove the bird from the tree at Holland Hill School on Thursday.

Perez says the bird was talking nonstop saying, "Daddy," ''hello," ''what!" and other words.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

I actually have been wondering what would happen to warm-climate bird species if they escaped from a warm indoor environment to a colder wintery state.

From the article below, it explains that indoor pet birds do not store fat reserves as wild birds, their feet and nose etc would likely freeze, and it takes a great deal of time to grow a thicker coat of feathers.

Quote:Most companion parrots are not acclimated to cold temperatures
- although this statement leads me to believe that a few are acclimated to cold temps, so may be able to survive well in Connecticut's milder winters.

There was a bunch of parrots living in a park in Amsterdam so some of them sure can take some colder temps.

I would have went batshit, first probably wondering if the kid fell down in the sewers or something, maybe buried under ground, then after exhausting all other scenarios I would have went batshit most likely.

I turned myself to consider wisdom and madness and folly
The wise man’s eyes are in his head,
But the fool walks in darkness.
Yet I myself perceived
That the same event happens to them all.
