It appears that some people believe that certain dance styles illicit evil. Evil meaning what, our inherent sexuality?

Rhythm is a gift from my point of view. Nature, seasons, stars all have rhythm. I can find no real fault in something that's so natural.

It's absolutely natural for humans to move to the rhythm I think. Although there seems to a lot of people with no sense of rhythm at all. 13.gif

In some religions they dance till they trance, I'm sure the church found plenty of reasons to deem some dancing evil. devil.gif

Leave it to early western culture to label other cultures' dance as devil dance. 13.gif

Quote:Devil Dance is a Western description from the early 20th century for the Tibetan Buddhist ritual dances known as 'cham.[1] They are also known as Chhaam.[2] 'Cham are often performed by monks in costume, and it is from these costumes that the description “devil dance” derives.[3]

'Cham are performed to purge, cleanse, combat evil, and bring good fortune, as well as to serve as a means of meditation for the participants.[4]
