http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...-snap.html

I do not believe -50F, that's just not so (perhaps with a very storng wind chill). But it's sorta funny, these record cold stories making headlines and Davos' billionaires want $14T for AGW rofl.gif You just know gore is there lmao.gif

I am missing something here.

We already have global warming as a result of human activities.

There is no reason to spend 14 Trillion to get some more. We already have enough.

Do we? Is THAT why there's record cold from Maine to Florida?

Actually that is easy to explain.

It all depends on the jet stream. When the jet stream goes low - the jetstream dips down to the mid US or lower - all the warm gulf and lower atlantic air is carried to Europe, the area of the US to the north gets cold air from Canadia (the country to the north). When the jet stream is high - cold air from Canadia goes to Europe while the US basks in warm air from the south.

Early in the winter the jet stream was high, now it is low.

Lately either the US or Northern Europe have been freezing but not both.

What is happening right now is the jet stream is going low across the US, high above the atlantic, then low across france (isolating the northern US and northern europe from southern air). So Gaithersburg, London, and Helsinki are below normal at the same time.

Remember AGW has to do with Climate not Weather. Climate is what you expect, weather is what you get.

It's in the nature of climate to change. $14T won't change the jet stream. Or is it ransom? Will they stop manipulating in for that sum? I doubt it. coffeetime.gif

We have global warming because we are coming out of the last ice age. We just made it a little worse than it would have been.

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to poor
