Disturbing Update: Gigantic Comets Threaten Earth, Planet-Sized 'Centaurs' Pose Greater Impact Threat Than Previously Known

Apparently, gigantic comets, not asteroids pose a greater hazard to Earth than previously thought. Chilling statements from a team of researchers point to the recent discovery of hundreds of planet-sized space rocks, any one of which is capable of causing mass extinction and destruction of all life forms. If you're thinking about the movie Armageddon, you're not that far off, only this one involves killer comets

Nice to see ya'!

Yeah, anything else hurling around this part of the universe could wipe us out ~ but, yanno? There's not a damn thing we can do about it. It's so beyond our control there's really no sense laying in a good stock of beer that would just get vaporized.

I'd rather just obliviously go about my business.

Quote:The typical debris tail often seen in literature occurs when the intense heat of the sun breaks up comets, as they get close. The research group warns that in the unfortunate chance a Centaur breaks apart, the resulting fragments would bombard the planet for 100,000 years.

damned.gif That's not a very rosy prospect by any means. Makes you wonder how many times man has gone from technologically advanced only to be reduced to a hand full of cave dwellers.
It's been recently discovered a series of tunnels of ancient origin have been found in parts of Europe...
Could very well be they were built for the purpose of shielding themselves from a long rain of fire and stones.
Fascinating stuff with overtones of doom.jpg

well , just like forums

the planet needs a good house cleaning every once in a while

Humans are falling backward anyway

wipe em out
start over

too much of the world is owned by too few

lets blow the fucker away and let the next
intelligent species take it for awhile .

Think of it this way

Man from here on out , will just trash the planet
continually until it's so polluted no life will exist

If ,,,,, something destroys man completely

the planet can get a chance to heal

we fucked it hard

we're done here
we failed

next ?
