a 42-year-old Indian woman went to the hospital, complaining of an extremely painful “tingling, crawling sensation.” After being transferred three times, doctors determined that there was a “foreign body that seemed to be mobile” in her head.

Yes, your worst nightmare is a reality. “It was a full grown cockroach,” Dr. M.N. Shankar, the head of the ENT department at Stanley Medical College, told the The New Indian Express.

Don’t worry, when doctors removed Earth’s most vile creature from the woman’s “skull base, between the two eyes, close to the brain,” they got it on tape:

"The living, full-grown roach—which apparently crawled up the woman’s nose—was stuck inside her head for twelve hours."

It's in the article.

Ah. Just watched the video.

There are a lot of videos on youtube with Indian doctors removing insects and other gross stuff.

I don't plan on going there either. I can get great Indian food right here.

I kinda feel like the first and foremost reason for people from western countries going on vacations to places like that is getting to feel rich, and that's quite twisted. Sure, it's nice to be able to buy any food anywhere, live in hotels and ride taxis and so forth but it feels weird when thinking about it in hindsight, it's just pretending to be some sort of upper class.

A funny thing me and a friend realized: the slogan "incredible India" on billboards there gets a whole new meaning when seeing it amidst all the filth there.

I think I have watched enough videos on HEAVY.COM of people being burned to death with tires, torn apart for various car/truck accidents, and having their throats slit to be able to pass on that video without being too squeamish. At least I hope that it doesn't make me too squeamish while I'm trying to eat my breakfast. I kind of hate roaches, ever since I once had to live in low cost housing and had a place infested with them. One even managed to crawl into a glass of soda while I was trying to drink it. Yuck!

Also, brain material isn't that sturdy. It's the consistency of snot.

That roach was in the sinus cavity. I don't know why the article mentioned the brain and all that. Must be owned by CNN.
