I'm older than you K, but I don't go back quite that far.
I really got nothin' to compare Noah's days to, not to mention Noah was aka Gilgamesh thousands of years prior to the Torah, and if you check that information out, it's a very different account of the times than the Bible presents.

and as in the times of noah..people scoffed at noah and God's warning until the flood was upon them. they were consumed with the things of daily living ..and not the spiritual

Stories describing the same event with different names is kind the norm.

Almost every culture has a flood story so IMO they're telling us about the same event which makes sense seeing as how these people didn't know each other.

I'm convinced they did know each other. The ancient Hebrew inscriptions found all over the US, Cocaine and Tobacco were found in the mummies of the Pharaohs...
Even the Native Americans had the same flood story, not to mention the feathered serpent which shows up everywhere from China to the Mayans...
We all go back a very long way, despite what archeology says.
They toss any evidence that doesn't fit the paradigm.
The Minoans were mining copper in the great lakes 2,000 years before Christ, and were the purveyors of copper during Europe's bronze age.
