I hate okra strictly based on the way it looks - it looks nasty with all those seed looking things popping out of what looks like alligator skin! A cook/chef recently told me it's actually quite tasty, even sweet. Not sure if she was putting me on.
The name lutefisk sounds like it has bones in it that could kill. This assessment is based strictly on the name. If stopped by the police and asked if you have any weapons, surely lutefisk would need to be brought up.

Are you kidding me? It's not a rumor, we eat it. It's traditional Yule food and I like it. The secret is, as always, how you prepare it. These days you don't buy it dried and put it to soak (for 10 days according to TU's video) on December 9, you just soak it overnight and bake it in the oven and serve with Bechamel sauce and potatoes.
