Quote:Few dog owners enjoy leaving their pet alone while they head off to work.

But most dog lovers have no idea how their animals cope once they have been left alone.

Now scientists have revealed how dogs spend up to half an hour howling, barking and whining after their owner leaves them alone.

And for some pets, the torment lasts for hours.

Yeah he uses the opportunity to get into things he would never do when we're home.
And to quote Zakk Tull, stand there and act like nothing happened.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

gaah.gif Yeah, I don't like cats in the bed.
Not to mention I'm allergic.

The owners are speciesist.
I did read some comments about the dog most likely being let out way more (thus dirtier) and te cat being an indoors cat, that might explain it partly.
It could also be that the cat is just too stubborn to be taught staying away from the bed.
I'm leaning towards speciesism thoguh.

Kudos for bringing the speciesist angle to the forefront of mainstream thought ...
