I'd agree, but he was groundbreaking for the time.
Nobody really did that.
Jackie Mason is one of the only ones still kickin' from that era.

Well, compared to the 'raw' comedians we have now, I'd say he was tame with the roasting/insulting.

It doesn't sound like the humor I appreciate so I better not watch any youtubes

Yeah, I was thinking that Phyllis Diller also did insult-type comedy, but just about her hubby 'fang', but she also died.

She went to drama school with our next door neighbor who were friends of the family.

Jackie Mason was great too ,,

he could say the word " Toots " and crack ya up .

emphasis , expression , the man had it down to a science .
gonna look up one of his acts

Radio on the Talk/News Station ,,,

they even had details to go with it .

I wonder if he knows he's dead ?
