wave.gif Octo. Yes, start a waterworld or learn how to divert water to create new land without too much destruction.

"Nittrouer and colleagues' models suggest that diversions such as this one could create hundreds of kilometres of new land over the course of decades. This would go a long way towards building a buffer against sea level rise, which is already eroding the Mississippi River Delta severely."

Bird Key, Sarasota, for example. Beautiful place, and it also destroyed marine habitat permanently.
Was done years ago, you could never in a million years get a permit for island building now, especially in Florida.

We live on old seabed so I expect it to return to that state several times.

No not really, I've never found any fossils, but I haven't been looking either. I'm more of a pretty rock gatherer. chuckle.gif

After the ice age this was under water and the land is still rising faster than anywhere in the world. I have seen this with my own eyes over the years.

Much of modern Finland is former seabed or archipelago: illustrated are sea levels immediately after the last ice age.

I enjoy collecting rocks too. On your next rock hunt you may want to watch out for these types of fossils.
