Dream: Something Dark That Was Hidden May Be Manifesting

I just had a dream. It is a little vague now, as wakefulness is quickly destroying the vivid nature the dream had when I was in the dream state.

In this dream, I was in a house. There was something familiar about the house. It is not my current house. I am not sure whether I have been to this place before, but it was familiar, and I seemed to be alone in the house in my dream, although I think that I may have been a guest of a friend who went off to do something. Also familiar was a dog, which also seemed to belong to the person who owned the house. Whoever's house it was not prominent in the dream. I am not sure whose house I was at, what relationship I was to this person, or why I was even there.

At some point, I took the dog outside for a walk or something, and when coming back inside, other violent and angry dogs also used the opening in the door to burst into the house and start wreaking havoc. The situation was spiraling out of control, and there was a supernatural feeling about one of the dogs specifically, the alpha dog or pack leader. I remember that this characteristic of the dog was making me very uneasy. I tried to get the interloper dogs out of the house, but to no avail. They were bullying and ripping into the dog that did belong in the house.

The lighting was very dim, almost as if this were occurring at the end of dusk, before any lights were turned on inside the home. There was very limited lighting in the house, almost like none at all. My recollection of the outside of the house is limited, and the focus seemed to be on the complication with the dogs. For the most part this dream occurred in a haze of gray.

After they started tearing into the dog who belonged in the home and I was unable to stop them, I went looking around the house for the owner, to alert this person to what was going on, to get some help handling the situation, but the house took on a different look, and it became clear to me that a building that I had thought was familiar had areas which I had not been aware of, so I began looking in these new rooms and corridors for the help that I needed to handle the situation.

Suddenly, I came upon a window with curtains that for some reason overlooked a sub-level or basement to the house, of which I was previously unaware existed. I pulled back the curtains and noticed a robed figure hovering across the floor, just barely visible to me, because it was partially underneath the wall on which I was standing and looking out the curtained window. At some point it lifted its head, and I got a good look of the face of this creature. I did not recognize the person's face, but I could tell that it was manifesting some kind of a demon, as its face took on an inhuman look and was colors that do not occur naturally on a person. This entity did not seem concerned that I was peering into the basement, if it even noticed that I was there. The feeling I got reminded me and was almost the same as what I had noticed when looking at the supernatural alpha dog.

I got the sense that the person whose house I was in, and whose dog I had taken outside, may have been down in this area of the house with this creature, and that there may have been other people down there as well, and that the turmoil that was unfolding with the violent and angry dogs that were attacking and trying to overtake the dog that live there, and which were also attacking me, were a part of the evil that was being called forth in that basement area, that the evil that was being unleashed above ground was tied to the evil that was lurking below ground. I also got the sense that the evil that was hiding in the basement and was partially hidden was preparing to come within full view, and that there were many people who had been camouflaging themselves and befriending those who were not tied to this evil that were preparing and excited about the prospect of this rising evil, and the chaos that was being unleashed above ground.

That is when I awoke.

I'm sure there's some heavy symbolic meaning behind all that. Really odd dream.

I've had dreams about houses too, where I suddenly find new rooms or whole sections of the house I previously was unaware of. No demons or dogs though 13.gif

It is commonly agreed that dreaming of a specific house, in great detail, is that the house is actually your psyche and exploration of said house, is actually an exploration of your psyche; all parts, even the darkest most self-defined "evil" sections which may reflect those dark areas of the psyche we dare not investigate and learn to control.

Quote:The ego--caught between the id and the super-ego--finds itself simultaneously engaged in conflict by repressed thoughts in the id and relegated to an inferior position by the super-ego.

My dream house, my psyche, is very modern, brick and cedar with one two-story wall composed entirely of windows and it is also roofless. I am not sure my house has a basement because I always venture up, not down.

Your next dream could deal with this situation by contracting for a cement truck to fill in the entire basement (through that lower window or windows) with the hardest, most fast-drying cement in existence and lay it all to rest, forever interm underground and imobilized (or controlled). You might want to throw some dog food down there first to make sure the vicious dogs are where they should be. The door leading down will then be a wall of cement, where you can paint a mural if so desired. There are many ways to go with this.

I also dream of different houses that I venture into, but they are just visits, and usually encompass only one visit. I may be trying to explore someone else's psyche in relation to mine (family member, friend) or exploring other facets of my psyche due to thoughts of future lifestyle changes, which requires setting up new foundations, so this too could be my psyche setting up house for a complete lifestyle turnaround, perhaps with someone else's psyche (a new shared house, perhaps).

I still have one specific repeating dream of one specific house, which I believe to be my psyche. Perhaps this will always be my haven, but the other houses I visit for short stints may be transitional to accommodate others' within my life.

We dream of past and future lives, as well as dreaming of present alternate realities and the dead are able to contact the living and the living are able to contact the dead within our dreams, for we have all lived before and everyone of us will live again, but without a choice, the real mind bending reasons why we are unable to resist falling asleep, is so our brains can be downloaded with holographic virtual reality data, occasionally perceived as fragmented dreams, that we obliviously upload when we awaken to believe as our new days reality that doesnt even really exist, like wow...
